Position Summary



Are you passionate about helping others succeed on their self-employment journey? Do you enjoy guiding aspiring entrepreneurs, freelancers, and self-employed individuals toward sustainable success? YES Employment + Entrepreneurship is seeking a dynamic and motivated part-time Self-Employment Coach to provide individualized coaching and resources to help clients explore, launch, and grow their self-employment and entrepreneurial ventures.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about entrepreneurship, understands the challenges of self-employment, and thrives on helping others navigate the path to independence. The coach will work one-on-one with clients, develop and deliver workshops, and help individuals gain clarity, confidence, and the skills they need to pursue their self-employment goals.

Position Responsibilities



Provide one-on-one coaching sessions to individuals exploring or pursuing self-employment or entrepreneurship.

Assess clients' needs, readiness, and goals to create personalized action plans.

Support clients in areas such as business ideation, market research, legal and administrative setup, pricing, marketing, and financial planning.

Offer guidance on freelancing, consulting, gig work, and other forms of self-employment.

Collaborate with the entrepreneurship and employment services teams to ensure clients are accessing all relevant resources and supports.

Assist clients in building confidence, skills, and accountability throughout their self-employment journey.

Design and deliver workshops and group sessions on key self-employment topics.

Maintain accurate client records, session notes, and follow-up plans in alignment with organizational procedures.

Track outcomes and contribute to impact reporting as required.

Stay informed on trends in entrepreneurship, freelancing, and the local economic landscape.

Support outreach and promotion of self-employment services through events, community partnerships, and referrals.

Contribute to the ongoing development of coaching tools, program resources, and client materials.

Participate in other YES Foundation activities as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, and Coaching, or a related field.

Experience in self-employment, freelancing, small business development, or entrepreneurship (either personally or through coaching/consulting roles).

Knowledge of business planning, marketing, pricing, and financial management for small businesses or solo ventures.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to coach, motivate, and support diverse clients.

Experience facilitating workshops or delivering presentations virtually and in-person.

Highly organized with strong documentation and time management skills.

Comfortable using MS Office, CRM systems, Video Conferencing, Outlook, and digital collaboration tools.

Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with the Quebec business landscape and community resources is an asset.

Bilingualism (English/French) is a strong asset.

As an organization that provides services in English this position requires excellent English writing and communication skills.

YES Emploi + Entrepreneuriat recherche un(e) Coach en travail autonome motive(e) et dynamique a temps partiel pour offrir un accompagnement personnalise et des ressources permettant aux clients d'explorer, de lancer et de developper leur activite independante ou entrepreneuriale.

Le(la) Coach en travail autonome travaille individuellement avec les clients, developpe et anime des ateliers, et aide les individus a acquerir la clarte, la confiance et les competences necessaires pour realiser leurs objectifs en entrepreneuriat independant. Ce role est ideal pour une personne passionnee par l'entrepreneuriat, consciente des defis lies au travail autonome et motivee par l'aide aux autres pour atteindre l'independance.

Responsabilites principales

Offrir des seances de coaching individuelles aux personnes explorant ou poursuivant un projet entrepreneurial ou une activite independante.

Evaluer les besoins, la preparation et les objectifs des clients afin d'elaborer des plans d'action personnalises.

Soutenir les clients dans des domaines tels que l'ideation d'entreprise, l'etude de marche, la mise en place legale et administrative, la tarification, le marketing et la planification financiere.

Fournir des conseils sur le travail autonome, le consulting, le travail ponctuel et autres formes d'entrepreneuriat independant.

Collaborer avec les equipes d'entrepreneuriat et des services a l'emploi pour assurer que les clients ont acces a toutes les ressources et soutiens pertinents.

Aider les clients a renforcer leur confiance, leurs competences et leur responsabilisation tout au long de leur parcours entrepreneurial.

Concevoir et animer des ateliers et des sessions de groupe sur des sujets cles lies au travail autonome.

Maintenir des dossiers clients precis, des notes de seances et des plans de suivi conformes aux procedures organisationnelles.

Suivre les resultats et contribuer aux rapports d'impact selon les besoins.

Se tenir informe(e) des tendances en entrepreneuriat, travail autonome et du contexte economique local.

Participer a la promotion et a la diffusion des services de travail autonome par le biais d'evenements, de partenariats communautaires et de references.

Contribuer au developpement continu des outils de coaching, des ressources du programme et des documents clients.

Participer a d'autres activites de la Fondation YES selon les besoins.

Connaissances, competences et qualifications

Baccalaureat en administration des affaires, entrepreneuriat, coaching ou dans un domaine connexe.

Experience en entrepreneuriat independant, travail autonome, developpement de petites entreprises ou entrepreneuriat (personnelle ou via un role de coaching/consulting).

Connaissance de la planification d'entreprise, du marketing, de la tarification et de la gestion financiere pour les petites entreprises ou projets individuels.

Excellentes competences interpersonnelles et en communication; capacite a coacher, motiver et soutenir des clients diversifies.

Experience dans l'animation d'ateliers ou la presentation de contenu en personne ou en ligne.

Grande capacite d'organisation avec solides competences en documentation et gestion du temps.

A l'aise avec MS Office, systemes CRM, videoconference, Outlook et outils collaboratifs numeriques.

Capacite a travailler de maniere autonome et en collaboration dans un environnement dynamique.

Familiarite avec le contexte entrepreneurial et les ressources communautaires au Quebec est un atout.

Le bilinguisme (anglais/francais) est un atout majeur.

En tant qu'organisation qui offre des services en anglais, ce poste exige d'excellentes competences en redaction et en communication dans cette langue.
