Responsibilities:

Safely operate equipment such as dozers, excavators, graders, rock trucks, loaders, or packers. Conduct excavation, grading, earthmoving, trenching, backfilling, stockpiling, and compaction tasks. Participate in lease construction, road building, pad preparation, and reclamation projects. Accurately follow grade plans, site stakes, and GPS coordinates. Support ground crews and assist in basic labour activities as necessary. Perform routine equipment inspections, basic maintenance, and report mechanical issues promptly. Adhere strictly to Westcore's safety procedures, field-level hazard assessments (FLHAs), and PPE guidelines.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of direct experience operating heavy equipment in civil construction, mining, or oilfield environments. Skilled in varied terrain, including muskeg, winter conditions, soft ground, and steep slopes. Competent with detailed finish grading, trimming, and precise earthmoving operations. Ability to interpret and apply grade plans accurately. Safety-focused, reliable, and able to perform independently in variable conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (clean abstract preferred). Safety certifications: CSTS 2020 (or CSO), First Aid, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance Level II. Successful completion of pre-employment drug, alcohol, and fit-to-work testing. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for 10-12-hour shifts. Must provide your own CSA-approved 6" steel-toe work boots.
