Seeking 2 Internal Medicine Specialists for Permanent Opportunity

Earning Potential $300,000 - $600,000 CA

Start Date: ASAP

Hours of Work: 75 hours biweekly, plus on-call obligations

Benefits:

Relocation expenses up to the amount of $40,000 will be reimbursed for a 2-year Return In Service agreement ("RIS"). Relocation expenses of up to $20,000 will be reimbursed for a 1-year RIS.
Potential for rural retention bonuses: $5000 after 1 year, $10,000 after 2 years, $15,000 after 3 years.

James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, 125 TCH, Gander, NL A1V 2R7. The James Paton Memorial Health Centre is in Gander, central Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Gander is great community with an airport and all modern daily amenities.

Experience:

The successful physician will be expected to diagnose and treat a broad and comprehensive spectrum of adult illnesses. The physician is required to provide a full scope of internal medicine services including, but are not limited to, inpatient consultation, emergency and critical care, on-call services, and outpatient clinics (inclusive of the option to participate in diabetes clinics and exercise tress testing). Individuals with an additional subspecialty (such as Gastroenterology or Respirology) are encouraged to apply and to discuss outpatient services. The coverage of on-call commitments, including weekends and work in a term-based, client-focused environment, and partner with all team members to improve employee and patient safely by integrating safe work practices, identifying risk, and implementing policies.

Skills required:

Medical Degree with specialist training in Internal Medicine. Applicants should have residency training completed in either of the following countries: in Canada, United States, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland OR South Africa.

Must be comfortable running the ICU and preforming procedures such as; Chest tube insertion management, Central lines, Intubation, external pace- maker management
