Seed Analyst - Discovery Seed & Soil Labs Ltd.

Position term: Seasonal, with the possibility of permanent employment

We are hiring a qualified seed analyst, who is fully or partially accredited in germination and purity testing. We are looking for a motivated individual who loves variety, communicates effectively and has strong organizational skills.

Qualifications:

- Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED

- Previous knowledge in germination testing is a strong asset
- True Loose Smut and Grader accreditations is an asset
- Agriculture background is an asset
- Excellent computer skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to work well with others, and great communication skills.

Responsibilities:

-

To conduct purity and germination testing according to Canadian and AOSA rules.
- To conduct REGAL and APHIS testing.
- Be able to prioritize tasks during peak periods, and able to thrive in a fast paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Keeping large amounts of paperwork organized
- Other related laboratory duties
