Rusty's is looking for qualified security professionals to join their doorman team! If a country western environment filled with great music, special events, and collaborative team is of interest to you, then we're the place to be. Whether you're looking for regular weekend/evening work or the occasional shift we have a position for you.
Regular shift hours are between 7:00pm and 1:30am on Friday and Saturday nights with the opportunity for additional shifts on Sundays and weeknights for long weekend, parties and special events based on availability. Schedules are typically done on a month by month basis with lots of flexibility for time off.
Typical duties include greeting patrons as they enter the establishment, checking and scanning valid identification, monitoring patrons for over-intoxication and prohibited behaviour, evicting unauthorized individuals alongside other doormen using verbal de-escalation skills, and responding to emergencies inclusive of medical events and aggressive behaviour.
Individuals seeking to join the team are expected to use verbal de-escalation techniques as a primary method for conflict resolution however, there are instances where physical eviction is necessary. Planned physical evictions are done in a team environment with multiple doormen using safe techniques for all parties involved with a focus on patron and staff safety.
With over 40 years of Doorman experience on the current doorman team, we are willing to train and shape the right candidates who are seeking to gain experience in a challenging and unique environment of nightlife security.
