What will you be doing!



Coordinating Whiteshell (WL) Security Training Activities: + Planning and prioritizing training courses and schedules.
+ Developing and maintaining training calendar.
+ Identifying and maintaining awareness of emerging training needs and appropriately prioritize and adjust schedules accordingly.
Supporting oversight of the WL Training Program: + Ensuring training records are maintained in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
+ Developing new and updating existing lesson plans, on the job training (OJT), training aids and exams.
+ Recommending additions and replacement of training materials.
+ Providing compliance oversight on regulatory training and providing regular updates to the WL Security Training Lead and the WL Security Operations Lead.
Delivering WL Security training and testing activities: + Ensuring safety practices, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
+ Maintaining an adequate level of physical fitness to enable safe and effective demonstration of required training activities.
+ Reviewing the effectiveness of training, personnel performance.
Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:



Education + Police Foundations Graduate Diploma or University Degree in similar field, i.e Criminal Psychology, Bachelor of Arts in Adult Education.
Experience + Experience in the application of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) in a Security related environment.
+ Experience in the Nuclear Industry, preferably 3-8 years in a Security related role.
+ Extensive experience in writing, editing, and overseeing the production of high quality documents and visual presentations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities + Ability to effectively instruct a variety of subjects to employees at all levels.
+ Ability to design and deliver a comprehensive training program that meets site license requirements.
+ Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
+ Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
+ Ability to produce clear and succinct reports and procedures to deliver dynamic presentations and to form positive relationships with staff, peers and management.
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast paced dynamic and changing environment.
+ Demonstrated ability to operate audiovisual equipment and demonstration devices.
+ Ability to plan, schedule and organize the training required for all WL Security officers including new recruits.
+ Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
+ Skilled in the use of lethal and less lethal weapons systems and devices.
+ Effective problem solver with a results-oriented approach and an ability to motivate others.
+ Superior customer service and team building skills.
Security Clearance Eligibility Required: + Level 2 Secret with Site Access Security Clearance requires a

minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom

. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security."

Working Conditions:



We have a compressed work week, which consists of a four-day work week and ten hours a day - starting at 6 am. Ability to work extended hours as well as travel from time to time.
