As a member of the Enterprise Security Team, you will work with leading edge technologies to help secure NOVA Chemicals and respond to cyber security incidents. In addition, you will work to drive improvments in automation and operational efficiencies. Performing threat hunting and investigation activities to identify threats and stop breaches before they occur are part of this position\'s responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the success of comprehensive security initiatives, and will work with internal and external groups to ensure the program is operating effectively and efficiently.

You Will Use Your Expertise To:

  • Handle escalations from Tier 1 and Tier 2 Security Operations Center analysts
  • Help coordinate penetration tests
  • Support and ensure key applications, platforms, and systems are integrated into a NOVA-wide security analytics platform.
  • Develop security correlation rules to detect and identify security threats and collaborate with both business and operational technology teams to ensure knowledge sharing, remediation processes, and resolution validation are achieved to mitigate the security risk.
  • Perform incident response and forensic investigations using logs and other data. Validate containment and remediation measures and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) as necessary.
  • Leverage SIEM and other analytic tools and techniques to identify anomalous activity, including network traffic and event log analysis.
  • Write, submit, track, and manage investigative reports, attachments, and case files for internal and external dissemination and for future review and/or compliance.
  • Support the electronic discovery and forensic investigation services for information systems deployed at NOVA.
  • Partner with Process Automation, HR, Legal, and other stakeholders to define and deliver on service requirements.
  • Provide technical direction for actions required to minimize or eliminate impacts of significant Cyber Security Incidents.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field and at least 8 years of related experience in security role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Cyber Security Incident Response processes
  • Experience in critical infrastructure and ICS/OT
  • Understanding of IT/OT systems including servers, networks, firewalls, workstations, and infrastructure
  • Experience interfacing and working with others responsible for 24x7 operation and control of industrial plants
  • Ability to analyze and quantify cybersecurity risk as it pertains to both IT and OT
  • Strong documentation skills for documenting processes, forensic investigation findings and incident response reports
  • Understanding of Cyber Security roles and responsibilities
  • Knowledge of cyber security frameworks (e.g., NIST, NERC CIP, ISA/IEC 62443, and ISO 270001)
  • One or more security certifications including: CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM, GCIH, GPEN, CEH
  • Scripting (PowerShell & Python) and Security DevOps experience
