Synergy Integrated Technologies Ltd. is currently hiring for a Security Technician to join our growing team in Moncton, NB. In this position, you will be responsible for to perform service and maintenance of medium to large scale CCTV (network/camera systems), access control, intrusion, intercom and phone systems.

What you will be doing:

Install, test, and commission CCTV systems, including analog, HD, and IP-based technologies.
Run and terminate cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, coaxial) in accordance with industry standards.

Troubleshoot system faults and perform regular maintenance and upgrades. Set up and program DVRs/NVRs, cameras (IP and analog), and related equipment. Test system functionality and ensure optimal performance. Maintain accurate records of installations, services, and inspections. Provide technical support to end users and respond to service calls. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant codes and standards. Assist in planning and designing custom security solutions based on site surveys. Collaborate with other technicians and departments to deliver complete solutions. Educate clients on system use and maintenance.
Configure system settings, including resolution, frame rates, recording schedules, and user permissions.
Respond to emergency service requests and provide after-hours technical support as needed.
Evaluate site conditions and develop installation plans, including cable routing and equipment placement.
Open to travel across the GTA and nearby region as needed as well as other province.

What you will bring:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred. 2+ years of experience in CCTV/security system installation or a related field. Strong knowledge of IP and analog video systems, access control, and alarm systems. Familiarity with networking basics (IP addressing, PoE, routers/switches). Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Able to work at heights, in confined spaces and lift equipment Valid driver's license.
