Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented technician to join our installation and service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security systems design and implementation, with expertise in various technologies including CCTV, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and low voltage applications. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge and practical experience in construction, computer networking, and security systems. Experience fishing wires through existing homes and businesses in an efficient, neat and cosmetically pleasing manner is essential.

Responsibilities

Design and implement security systems including CCTV, IDS, and access control systems. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure proper installation of security equipment. Collaborate with construction teams to integrate security solutions into new builds or renovations. Conduct site assessments to determine security needs and recommend appropriate solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer hardware, networking, and electrical components of security and surveillance systems. Maintain knowledge of industry standards and best practices for security technology. Provide training and support to clients on the use of installed security systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools for the installation and maintenance of security equipment.

Experience

Proven experience in security installation and service or a related field. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in construction environments. Proficiency in computer networking principles and practices. Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems and components. Experience with various sensors used in security applications. Ability to work effectively with hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for installation tasks. Knowledge of telecommunication systems as they relate to security solutions is a plus. Pay: $47,320.00-$58,240.00 per year
