Work Model: On-Site Position Summary As a Security Systems Technician in our Information Services department, you will support and maintain a complex, enterprise level multi-site network of CCTV and Access Control systems that ensure the security of products and systems that are of critical importance to CBN customers around the world. What You Will Do
  • Assist in the coordination, implementation and execution of new security system installations;
  • Program, configure and manage security systems within an enterprise level security architecture using the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve security system software and hardware related issues;
  • Ensure security systems are maintained in accordance with industry standards and perform regular preventative maintenance activities while maintaining an inventory of spare parts;
  • Maintain up-to-date system-wide documentation;
  • Provide recommendations that will enhance security system(s) performance and present them to various internal stakeholders; and
  • Various other duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications Knowledge and Experience
  • Security Systems Technician (or similar) college certificate or diploma
  • Experience in the installation and support of enterprise grade access control systems such as Lenel OnGuard (or equivalent)
  • Experience in the installation and support of enterprise grade CCTV video surveillance systems such as Genetec Security Center (or equivalent)
  • Experience configuring and supporting integrated security systems implemented on the Microsoft Windows Server platform
  • Basic knowledge of networking, network cabling specs and network switch gear
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and practices
Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient in MS 365
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proven troubleshooting/problem solving skills
  • Self-directed
  • Expert organizational skills
Mandatory Requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) clearance.
  • Participation in after-hours on-call rotation.
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.
