Do you want to become a subject matter expert of your client\'s systems but can\'t because you do not get to spend enough time? You spend your days on break fixes instead? We want you to be our full-time resource. Your challenge will be to support a very complex multi-site global network of CCTV and Badge Access Control system. You will also have the opportunity to travel internationally to some of our remote sites including the Caribbean to perform system upgrades!

What Will You Do?

  • Maintain. Working with our enterprise security architecture, you will be responsible to program and configure our systems to meet daily operational requirements. You will maintain our existing systems to industry standards, perform preventative maintenance and keep documentation up to date. All systems will be managed using ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) incident, problem, change and capacity management practices.
  • Troubleshoot. Up-time is imperative, and you will use your problem-solving skills to investigate root cause of software and hardware related issues efficiently and effectively across multiple technologies. You will maintain an inventory of spare parts to improve issue resolution timeframe.
  • Optimize. By understanding operational demands and requirements, you will provide recommendations in line with industry best practices to enhance security systems performance. You can create the business case and communicate proposed solutions to various stakeholders.
  • Develop. You are a continuous learner who enjoys opportunities to enhance your skills. Using your knowledge and expertise, you will assist in the coordination, implementation, and execution of new system installations.
  • Communicate. You will keep parties informed of issues and escalate problems, as necessary. You will work in partnership with internal and external representatives often acting as a liaison.
What Will Help You Succeed?

You should have a few years under your belt supporting enterprise grade Access Control and CCTV video surveillance systems.

Knowledge/Experience
  • Experience in the installation and support of enterprise grade badge access control systems such as Lenel OnGuard (or equivalent).
  • Experience in the installation and support of enterprise grade CCTV video surveillance systems such as Genetec Security Center (or equivalent)
  • Successful completion of a two-year electronics or security installation program at an accredited college is an asset.
  • Experience configuring and supporting integrated security systems implemented on the Microsoft Windows Server platform.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, network cabling specs and network switch gear
  • Willing to partake in the after-hours on-call rotation.
  • Valid Drivers\' License

Mandatory Requirements
  • The ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) clearance.
  • Fully vaccinated from COVID-19 (minimum of two doses).
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation program (approx. 1 week on, 2/or 3 weeks off - dependent on various factors, e.g travel, vacation, etc);
