We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security systems to safeguard our facilities and digital assets. This role requires a strong technical background in construction, electrical systems, computer hardware, and networking, combined with hands-on experience with security technologies such as CCTV, sensors, IDS, and telecommunication systems. The Security Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive security solutions that ensure safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Design and develop security system layouts utilizing blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, sensors, IDS, and telecommunication equipment.
Conduct inspections of security infrastructure including low voltage wiring, power tools usage, and mechanical components.
Read and interpret construction plans to coordinate the integration of security systems into building projects.
Perform maintenance and upgrades on existing security hardware and software components.
Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration of security solutions within the facility's infrastructure.
Utilize hand tools and power tools for installation and repair tasks.
Monitor network traffic related to security systems to identify vulnerabilities or breaches in computer networking environments.
Develop documentation for system schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations during all phases of installation and maintenance.
Requirements
Proven experience in construction or electrical environments with a strong understanding of schematics and blueprints reading.
Solid knowledge of computer hardware, computer networking, telecommunication systems, and low voltage wiring.
Hands-on experience with CCTV installation, sensors integration, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and security power supplies.
Mechanical knowledge related to the installation and maintenance of physical security devices using hand tools and power tools.
Familiarity with schematics reading for complex security system layouts.
Electrical experience including wiring practices for low voltage systems.
Ability to interpret technical drawings related to construction projects involving security infrastructure.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Prior experience in sensor deployment or telecommunication systems is preferred but not required.
