Position: Security System Installation & Service Manager
Role Overview:
The Installation & Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all installation and service activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to resolve complex installation challenges while maintaining strict safety compliance. You will lead and mentor installation teams, manage subcontractors, and collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Service Management
Supervise and manage installation teams and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to best practices, health and safety guidelines, and quality standards.
Provide technical guidance and support for all security system installations onsite.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, acting as the liaison between installation teams and IT support.
Ensure compliance with work order specifications, company policies, and industry standards.
Conduct pre-project site surveys to assess feasibility, design accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Perform site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
Team Leadership
Collaborate with HR on recruitment and develop training roadmaps for installers.
Mentor and coach team members; conduct monthly one-on-one meetings, mid-year and annual performance evaluations.
Track and manage team KPIs, ensuring timely completion of paperwork and compliance with company standards.
Source, screen, and recruit new installers and subcontractors.
Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that promotes professional development.
Champion safety initiatives and ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
Oversee daily vehicle inspections and warehouse-related duties as required.
Evaluate the quality of work delivered by the installation team and implement improvements.
Stay current with new techniques and technologies (e.g., fiber optic terminations, laser scanner deployment).
Project Management
Plan, prioritize, and assign projects and tasks to the installation team.
Provide installation insights to Project Managers throughout all project phases.
Ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals are met.
Follow New Age Group's project management processes, including design, kickoff, resource allocation, and post-project reviews.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or diploma from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial and industrial security system installation and service.
Previous experience in project management; PMP certification is an asset.
Proven experience leading installation teams and managing subcontractors.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
Proficient in reading and interpreting Visio and AutoCAD diagrams, security layouts, and riser drawings.
