Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security systems and technology, with a focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in computer networking, mechanical knowledge, and hands-on experience with various security systems. The Security Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities through effective surveillance and alarm systems.

Responsibilities



Design and implement security systems including CCTV, alarm systems, and access controls. Conduct field service work to install, maintain, and troubleshoot security equipment. Collaborate with clients to assess their security needs and recommend appropriate solutions. Utilize computer networking skills to integrate various security technologies. Perform regular inspections of security systems to ensure optimal performance. Provide technical support for remote access software and other security applications. Maintain accurate documentation of system designs, schematics, and service reports. Work with low voltage cabling and electrical components to install security devices. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely during installation processes. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to security engineering.

Qualifications



Strong knowledge of computer hardware and networking principles. Mechanical knowledge related to the installation of various security systems. Experience as a service technician in the field of security or telecommunications. Familiarity with fire alarm systems, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and surveillance technologies. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams related to electrical systems. Experience with locksmithing techniques is a plus. Understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code) standards as they apply to low voltage installations. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in construction or technical environments. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
