Job Description

Commissionaires BC is looking for a Security Supervisor to work at a outreach shelter in Vernon. Candidates who are interested or have worked with at-risk and vulnerable individuals would be ideal.

Shifts: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm

Payrate: $24.00

Some of your responsibilities include:

Foot patrols of residential building, interior and exterior Maintaining a safe environment for all, handling any crisis situations in a calm and controlled manner Offering first class customer service to the client, service users and members of the public Work with and respect the diverse community of Kelowna, supporting and guiding where needed Access Control Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor Maintain up-to-date Post Orders and Site Safety, Risk, and Quality Assurance assessments Submit reports, time sheets, and staff evaluations as per deadlines Assist with training and scheduling of Commissionaires Leading through empowerment, and monitoring staff morale, discipline, and progress Ensure team maintains a professional standard of conduct, dress and deportment Reporting to the site supervisor and operations management for further duties as necessary

Your Must Haves ...

Valid BC Security License Basic First Aid Certificate (OFA 1 or equivalent) Excellent English oral and written skills Previous supervisory experience would be an asset
