Job Title Security Supervisor
Summary Security Supervisor will directly be in charge and responsible for all security officers and security related situations as they arise on the property. Act as the Security\'s Departments representative in the absence of the department head or assistant manager in all situations
PRIMARY DUTIES
o Oversee all \xe2\x80\x98day to day\xe2\x80\x99 general operations of full staff complement, including 3rd party oversight.
o Report any incidents to the Security or Operations Manager to ensure full site compliance and general understanding for all.
o Ensure all staff scheduling is implemented by 3rd party representative and that any extra staff hours have been approved by the site manager. In-house schedule and time sheets are to be completed and forwarded to appropriate payroll department representative.
o Assign security officers to perspective zones and ensure their duties are properly carried out-meeting the expectations of the Centre.
o Issue keys and other equipment as required. Ensure the radio and key logs are being utilized by all staff. Ensure all logbook entries and posted memos have been initialed by all staff.
o Directly supervise all security officers while on duty in their assigned zones. Redirect by operational need when required.
o Supervise and assist staff with all disturbance, trespass, or arrest call outs. Where possible, assess all situations prior to authorizing arrest if warranted.
o Ensure all reports are generated by security staff and they are fully completed by the end of the shift.
o Check and ensure that staff memo books are up to date and completed daily. They are to be reviewed to ensure proper compliance with expectations. Notations for any requested correction is to be recorded.
o Respond to all on-site emergencies. Notify management representative of all emergency situations in absence of department head or Ast. Manager. Ensure to liaise with all emergency personnel and meet trained expectations.
o Ensure that customer service philosophies are understood and met, and staff are aware they are an important part of the everyday operation of the Security Department.
Responsible for overview of mentoring of security personnel, in conjunction with the Security or Operations Manager .
o Perform duties and tasks as assigned by the Security or Operations Manager and respond to all other directions from all shopping centre management team. o Ensure proper procedures for liability claims are adhered to, as per client outlined or established policies
o Any and all other administrative functions as requested by the Security Manager or Ast. Manager.
o Ensure all the officer\'s extra duties are complete and up to date as required. SECONDARY DUTIES o Liaise with all Retailers. Respond to any problems that may arise.
o Report all items requiring maintenance to the Owner\xe2\x80\x99s designate in writing.
o Keep staff informed of all activities happening during and after mall operating hours. (i.e., shows moving in etc.)
o Be able to train all new and existing staff on all Shopping Centre and Corporate guidelines.
o Have proficient understanding and be able to recite all working powers of arrest under criminal code or provincial/municipal legislation.
o Have proficient understanding and be able to work within all site systems and computer-based programs.
o Review Health and Safety protocols and procedures with all staff to ensure that all persons always work safely.
