As a Security Software Developer and a Common Software Foundation team member, you will be responsible for developing reusable security-related components and services for use across the Cloud and Network Services product portfolio.

Position: Security Software Developer Co-Op/Intern
Duration: 4 months
Date: Jan 8th - Apr 26th, 2024
Location: Flexible (Hybrid in Ottawa, Canada, or Virtual in Canada)

What you will learn and contribute to

As part of the team, you will:

  • Ensure that these components are robust, maintainable, easy to use and you will support the product teams as they integrate them into Nokia Software applications.
  • Provide security architecture, consulting, training and development support to product groups that are consuming this software.
  • Perform FOSS and COTS product evaluations based on the needs of the Nokia Software Product Teams.
Your skills and experience

Education Recommendations

Currently a candidate for bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or related field with an accredited school in Canada.

You have :
  • Experience with linux, scripting, python, Java, J2EE technologies.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Helm, or Kubernetes concepts and commands
  • Validation and test of security architecture and designs providing technical guidance, oversight, and enforcement of security directives, policies, standards, plans, and procedures.
It would be nice if you also had:
  • Knowledge of technology methodologies \xe2\x80\x93 microservices, service-oriented architecture, software & hardware development practices, operational practices, web services design, database design and data management, etc.
  • Ability to work in an Agile Scrum environment with outstanding proactive communication skills written, verbal, presentations.
  • Knowledge or familiarity with security concepts - Identity and Access Management, Cryptography, Firewall, Network Security.
