The PM is responsible for providing leadership, training, and guidance to the uniformed guarding personnel who serve in a variety of security positions. The position monitors, coordinates, and executes a wide variety of operational tasks and projects and has a thorough working knowledge of all business functions, policies, and best practices on the project.

Responsibilities
Hiring, training, mentoring, and leading guarding personnel in various roles on the project
Leading, coordinating, and completing projects within specific timeframes
Maintaining proficiency in the operation of security systems, including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and metal detection
Conducting sensitive and confidential investigations on behalf of SSRG
Managing employee performance, issuing disciplinary notices, and implementing corrective action plans as needed
Planning, developing, and leading emergency response exercises and fulfilling emergency response roles as required
Working collaboratively across all internal business lines (HealthSafety, Human Resources, Payroll and Finance, IT, etc.) to ensure service excellence
Participating in regular briefings and meetings with SSRG executives
Requirements
Former Law Enforcement experience (required)
Minimum 5 years of experience in law enforcement or security management
Advanced Security Training (AST) certification
Post-secondary education; Bachelor's degree preferred
A valid BC Security License (applicants from outside of BC must obtain)
Valid Intermediate First Aid or Level C CPR/AED
An in-depth knowledge of security operations
Ability to de-escalate confrontation and emotionally charged situations
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
The ability to interpret and apply policy and various levels of legislation
Must be able to travel from marshalling points located in Vancouver, Calgary, Kelowna, Prince George, and Smithers
Valid Class 5 Drivers License and acceptable Driver's Abstract
Possess Crisis Intervention and De-escalation certificate (CPKN) is an asset
Work Conditions
$100,000/year salary
2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation / 12-hour shifts
Meals and housing at site provided at no cost
Travel to and from site provided from marshalling points located in Vancouver, Calgary, Kelowna, Prince George and Smithers. Additional marshalling points may be added over time.
