We are offering an excellent signing bonus for qualified personnel for this opportunity. The first half of the bonus will be paid after the first month of service, with the remainder of the bonus paid after 90 days of service.

Job Skills / Requirements

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with a dynamic team of security professionals
  • Provide exceptional customer service to visitors of the property, always maintaining a professional image
  • Patrols of the grounds and property
  • Be attentive to safety issues, security breaches, and situations requiring attention
  • Emergency response to fire alarms, medical emergencies, and other urgent situations as required
  • Respond to criminal code violations appropriately and with established safety protocols in mind
  • Document incidents using the appropriate software when applicable
  • Perform crowd control during high profile events, when applicable
  • Handle Lost & Found items when applicable
Job Requirements:
  • Currently hold a valid Alberta Security license
  • One year or more experience in a high-profile, commercial setting
  • Must have prior experience with affecting a citizen's arrest in accordance with section 494 of the Criminal Code of Canada
  • First aid certificate and handcuffing certificates preferred, although training is provided
  • Must be available for a full-time position, working a rotating, 4-days on, 4-days off schedule
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong observational skills
  • Knowledge of basic computer applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to walk or stand for lengthy durations
  • Commitment to professional development and training
