Position Summary
This uniformed member of Security will assist in providing a wide range of security duties including:
-Provide high visibility preventative patrols;
-Proactive problem solving to address issues of causes of crime or perceived crimeon campus;
-Responding to calls for service as required by the University community;
-Enforcing of the applicable University regulations;
-Providing assistance in first aid response, conflict resolution, investigation of infractions,
crime prevention information distribution, special event security;
-Monitor and report areas of risk for potential problems; and,
-Performing other duties as assigned.
This position involves shift work.
Position Requirements
-Successful completion of a diploma or certificate in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or Law Enforcement combined with a minimum of five years\' related security or law enforcement experience. An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may be considered;
-First Aid Certificate;
-CPR Certificate with AED;
-Possess and maintain a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver\'s License and have an acceptable driving record;
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook-GroupWise);
-Exceptional communication skills with the ability to understand and execute verbal and written instruction effectively;
-Demonstrated ability to write legible and understandable reports;
-Demonstrated ability to deal courteously and effectively with students, faculty, staff, co-workers, and the general public to work harmoniously within a team environment;
-Must be highly motivated;
-Ability to respond to unusual and stressful situations in a calm logical fashion;
-Ability to work with limited supervision;
-Attention to detail is essential;
-Must be able to work 12 hour shifts which will include weekends and holidays; and,
-An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful applicant furnishing a Criminal Records Check from the Regina Police Service, which is satisfactory to the Manager of Campus Security Operations.

Pay Grade CUPE Phase 5
Salary Range $57,066.88 to $77,044.24 per annum
