About the Role:

As a Security Patrol, you will patrol hospital grounds, respond to incidents, and support healthcare staff in maintaining a safe and secure environment. This position requires professionalism, composure under pressure, and strong communication skills when assisting the public or de-escalating challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular patrols of hospital areas including entrances, corridors, and parking lots Monitor CCTV and alarm systems; report and respond to any irregularities or suspicious activity Maintain access control for restricted areas and escort staff or visitors when needed Respond to medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security situations quickly and effectively De-escalate tense situations with professionalism and empathy Document incidents and prepare detailed, accurate reports Support hospital staff and collaborate with law enforcement when necessary Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety regulations Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors

Requirements:

Must-Have Criteria:

Valid Ontario Security Guard License Valid First Aid & CPR Level C (WSIB approved) certification Two COVID-19 vaccinations Proof of immunizations (MMR, Varicella, TB test) Vulnerable Sector Check required Fluent in English (oral and written) Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related field preferred Willing to complete N95 Mask Fit Testing Able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) -- or willingness to complete Paladin's training Legally authorized to work in Canada

Nice-to-Have (Optional):

Education in Police Foundations, Law Enforcement, or a related discipline
