As per the TBS common hybrid work model for the Federal Public Service, there is an in-person requirement of at least 3 days per week in the office. Some positions may require full-time on-site presence.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to fill four (4) positions on an indeterminate (permanent) basis in:

Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

- The National Capital Region - Ottawa, Ontario

Toronto, Ontario Suffield, Alberta


A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may be established through this process and used to staff identical or similar positions with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent), language profiles, operational requirements, and conditions of employment at the Department of National Defence.

EDUCATION

The minimum standard is:

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).

Notes:

1. The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:

o A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or

o An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Candidates who already meet both of the following criteria must be accepted as meeting the secondary school diploma requirement:

c. Candidates who have achieved a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; and

d. Candidates who have been appointed or deployed for an indeterminate period to a position in the AS classification.

The opportunity to be assessed by at least one of the two employer-approved alternatives must be offered to candidates who have not previously met the secondary school diploma requirement.

Candidates who were appointed or deployed on an indeterminate basis using an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience meet the secondary school requirement for the AS classification only and must be reassessed for entry to other classifications on the basis of this alternative.

2. Acceptable experience and/or training in a field relevant to positions in the AS classification is required when the education qualification specified for the position being staffed is a secondary school diploma or approved employer alternatives.

EX1.Experience in coordinating security activities


EX2.Experience in providing physical or personnel security services, such as, but not limited to: physical security, personnel security, contract security, security incident management, security awareness and training or business continuity planning

EX3. Experience in the preparation and delivery of presentations and training sessions

EX4. Experience in the preparation of operational briefings.
