As a successful candidate you must: \xc2\xb7 Hold a valid Manitoba Security Guard License \xc2\xb7 Be physically able to perform security duties \xc2\xb7 Highly reliable \xc2\xb7 Have excellent written and verbal communications skills \xc2\xb7 Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other mobile apps. \xc2\xb7 Must work well under pressure and be attentive to detail \xc2\xb7 Bilingualism (English/French) is always a benefit Your responsibilities will vary depending on shift or site posted and may include the following: \xc2\xb7 Access Control. \xc2\xb7 Camera Monitoring. \xc2\xb7 Report taking and writing. \xc2\xb7 Detecting theft & making lawful arrests. \xc2\xb7 Conducting foot patrols. \xc2\xb7 Conducting mobile (vehicle) patrols. \xc2\xb7 Ensuring client property is secure in accordance with post orders. \xc2\xb7 Securing premises as required by site post orders. \xc2\xb7 Completing reports, both electronic and written. Along with your commitment and capacity to provide superior customer service, security, and protection to our clients and their assets, confidentiality is a mandatory requirement of employment. Employees are not permitted to take photos or videos on job sites for personal reasons. Ideal Candidate \xc2\xb7 Graduated from High School minimum post-Secondary preferred. \xc2\xb7 Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check with vulnerable selection. \xc2\xb7 Must have a valid Class 5F Drivers Licence and must have a clean driving record. \xc2\xb7 Must have successfully complete the Manitoba Security Guard Training (MSGTP) Program course in order to be licensed as a Security Guard in Manitoba with a minimum of 1 years experience in a Security or Loss Prevention role. \xc2\xb7 FA1 - Emergency First Aid & CPR /AED although (FA2) is preferred. \xc2\xb7 Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. \xc2\xb7 Basic computer skills are required; (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Mobile IOS/Android Apps). \xc2\xb7 Ability to walk large areas, sit or stand for extended periods of time, indoors and out as needed. \xc2\xb7 Strong attention to detail. \xc2\xb7 Able to follow direction. \xc2\xb7 Leadership skills would be an asset. \xc2\xb7 Required to work with a high level of independence and proficiency in conflict resolution. \xc2\xb7 The successful candidate should be willing/able to pick up occasional overtime to cover vacation or illness absences.
