Job Description

We are looking for experienced officers to work as casual on call guards at the Federal Courts(CAS) site in Downtown Vancouver.

Shift times are Monday to Friday 8am till 4.30pm

Some of your responsibilities include:

-Access Control and Reception duties

-Responding to inquiries from the public

-Assisting with set-up of court room proceedings and provide assistance to staff as required

-Respond to alarms, and maintain a safe environment for all personnel and the public

-Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts

-Following specific emergency and alarm response protocols

-Safely escorting visitors and personnel when necessary

-Maintaining detailed and accurate daily records and logs

-Reviews the daily workbook for pass-over information

-Liaise with the client on all relevant site issues

-Maintain an impeccable level of service and professionalism on this high-profile site

Your Must Haves ...

-Valid BC Security Licence and

-Advanced Security Training (AST)

-Ability to pass a PARE test

-OFA 1 Certificate

-5 years living in Canada for security clearance purposes

-Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills. Fluent French would also be an asset.
