Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant, dependable, and professional

Overnight Hotel Security Officer

to ensure the safety and security of our guests, staff, and property during late-night and early-morning hours. The ideal candidate will maintain a visible presence throughout the hotel, conduct regular patrols, manage access points, and respond calmly and effectively to any incidents or emergencies.

This role requires strong situational awareness, the ability to work independently, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct frequent overnight patrols of hotel floors, stairwells, parking areas, entrances, and common spaces Monitor and secure all entry and exit points in coordination with the front desk Prevent unauthorized access to guest floors and restricted areas Respond promptly and professionally to noise complaints, disturbances, and guest concerns Perform routine safety checks of doors, fire exits, and hotel facilities Assist guests and staff with directions or safety-related concerns Enforce hotel safety policies to prevent trespassing, vandalism, or theft Contact emergency services and local law enforcement when required Complete detailed incident reports and maintain overnight activity logs Provide support to front desk staff when necessary while maintaining security responsibilities

Qualifications

Previous experience in security, hotel security, or law enforcement is an asset Strong knowledge of safety procedures and conflict de-escalation techniques Excellent observation and problem-solving skills Ability to stay alert and focused throughout overnight shifts Strong verbal and written communication skills Physically capable of continuous patrols and standing for extended periods Valid security license (as required by local regulations) First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
