Job Description

Commissionaires BC is looking for a Temporary Full Time Security Officer to work at a correction center in Chilliwack until May 8, 2025. There may be potential for extension.Rotation: 4 days on / 4 days off, 8 hour shiftsPayrate: $27.00 per hourSome of your responsibilities include:

• Performing interior patrols and conducting daily resident counts
• Maintaining official visitor and resident logs, count sheets, and resident sign-in/out sheets
• Writing clear and concise daily logs and reports of all incidents
• Enforcing and maintaining resident curfews
• Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts
• Provide first aid in a prompt, accessible, and appropriate manner
• Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of site duties and safety standards

Your Must Havesxe2x80xa6

• Basic Security License
• OFA 1 or willing to obtain one
• Have been residing in Canada for a minimum of 5 years for clearance purposes
• Reliable transportation to and from the Chilliwack site
