Our Story

Commissionaires BC is a Canadian, not-for-profit security/enforcement organization that has been in business since 1927. Our mandate is to give back to those who served and continue to serve in our communities and country.

Commissionaires provides security services for over 200 sites and are located in over 110 communities across the province. Our client base runs from the Federal Government to local municipalities, airports, industrial sectors, and commercial/residential buildings.

Our guards are not only behind the scenes providing security and access control, but front and center providing valued customer service to the public.

We are looking for security professionals with AST to work Monday to Friday 0745-1600 at a high profile site downtown.

Some of your responsibilities include:

\xc2\xb7 Access control

\xc2\xb7 Offering first class customer service to both clients and general public

\xc2\xb7 Detailed report writing

\xc2\xb7 Patrolling

\xc2\xb7 Dealing with emergency situations and troubleshooting any issues.

Your Must-Haves:

\xc2\xb7 BC Security License

\xc2\xb7 Hold AST (Advanced Security Training) and OFA 1

\xc2\xb7 Been living in Canada for minimum 5 years for clearance purposes

\xc2\xb7 You have excellent problem solving skills

\xc2\xb7 You can work under pressure

\xc2\xb7 You are proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Your Nice-To-Haves:

\xc2\xb7 You have a valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s Licence with a clean driver\xe2\x80\x99s abstract

\xc2\xb7 Interest in corrections and/or policing

\xc2\xb7 Have served in the Military/RCMP/Police
