Overall Summary of Duties
Security Installation/Service Technician - The security installation/service technician will be responsible for the installation and servicing of security electronic systems which includes: Intrusion, CCTV, card access, intercom, integrated and associated hardware peripherals.Ability to complete service and installation work in an efficient manner to meet deadlines.
Key Requirements
Has over three (3) years experience in the same or similar field.
Must have experience with security panels: Bosch, Kantech, DSC, DMP.
Experience and understanding of ULC installations and testing.
Good troubleshooting skills using a multimeter.
Experience and understanding of simple and EOLR circuits.
Certified in WHMIS.
Experience installing security and network cables.
Valid Class G Driver's License with no outstanding infractions.
Available for occasional travel out of town and/or stay the night out of town for business as required.
Candidates must successfully meet the requirements of a criminal reference check and participate in all required health and safety training during their orientation period and as a condition of continued employment.
Available to work evenings and weekends as required.

Ability to supply his/her own (CSA approved) steel toe safety boots and hard hat.
Ability to supply his/her own hand tools.
Education and Experience
College certification in a relevant program and a minimum of three (3) years experience.
CANASA or equivalent Security Technician Certificate program.
Other combinations of related education and/or experience may be considered.
Hours of work
The hours of work are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, with possibilities of working occasional evenings and weekends, with occasional after-hours "on call" rotation.
Assets
Familiar with ULC policies and standards.
Computer Skills.
Familiar with security equipment: Intrusion, Access Control, CCTV.
