Security Guards RBC - Events Staff
Core Job Duties
Patrolling assigned areas on foot to ensure security of people, buildings, and equipment. Reporting breaches, hazards, and emergencies; coordinating with emergency responders. Using two-way radios and computer systems for communication and record-keeping. Providing assistance and excellent customer service. Performing other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to conduct patrols independently and remain calm in emergencies. Effective communication skills for writing reports and interacting with personnel. Basic knowledge of security procedures, handling difficult behaviors, and safety codes. Good interpersonal skills and professionalism, with discretion for confidential information. Ability to follow instructions and perform moderate physical activity like extended walking or standing.
Minimum Job Requirements
Valid Security Guard License. Excellent verbal and written English skills. Strong customer service capabilities. Flexibility to work various shifts including afternoons, nights, and weekends.
