Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, employees, and visitors. This role requires keen observational skills, the ability to respond to incidents effectively, and a commitment to upholding security protocols.

This is a weekend 12 hr day shift on Saturday and Sunday.

Responsibilities

Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises. Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to monitor activities within designated areas. Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as necessary. Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of daily activities. Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures. Enforce company policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with legal regulations related to security operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring techniques. Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff, visitors, and law enforcement personnel. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently while maintaining professionalism at all times. A valid security guard license or certification may be required based on local regulations.

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
