Job Description

Commissionaires BC is currently hiring for a Overnight FT Security Guard to work Mon to Fri in Vernon, BC. You must be living in Vernon or the surrounding areas before applying for this position.

Shifts available: Mon to Fri 0030 - 0830 (12:30AM to 8:30 AM)

Your Must-Haves:

• You hold a valid BC security license
• 1-2 years working in security
• You have excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• You have proven time-management and organizational skills
• Work with and respect the diverse residents of the building, supporting and guiding where needed.

Your nice to haves:

• Non Violent Crisis Intervention training
• OFA Level 1
• De-escalation skills
• Ability to work more than one site.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Foot patrols of residential building, interior and exterior.
• Acess control of a residentila building.
• Maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff, handling any crisis situations in a calm and controlled manner.
• Offering first class customer service to the client and members of the public.
• Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts.
• Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports.
• Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor.
