You will also be responsible for detecting any suspicious activities within the job site and preventing vandalism, thefts, and any other criminal behaviour. \xe2\x80\xaa Position Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Provide access control to the facility \xc2\xb7 Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols of the facility grounds \xc2\xb7 Monitor CCTV \xc2\xb7 Ensure that the facility\xe2\x80\x99s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies \xc2\xb7 Demonstrate judgment, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge in emergencies or other incidents \xc2\xb7 Effectively operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones \xc2\xb7 Maintain meticulous record keeping and report writing \xc2\xb7 Logging the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and other individuals \xc2\xb7 Directing visitors to reception and logging their entry to the premises \xc2\xb7 Responding to alarms and calls of security concern \xc2\xb7 Keeping daily logs of activities and any issues addressed \xc2\xb7 Answering phones and responding to other inquiries at the security desk \xc2\xb7 Addressing any infractions of building rules and/or forwarding them to the appropriate level of management Security Guard Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Must provide a criminal record check Must have 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE \xc2\xb7 Must be able to work variable shifts including night shifts and holidays \xc2\xb7 A valid Ontario Security Guard License \xc2\xb7 College or University an asset \xc2\xb7 First Aid /CPR Level \xe2\x80\x9dC\xe2\x80\x9d \xc2\xb7 A full G Driver\'s license is required.
