We are looking for qualified candidates to work at our facilities.Covid-19 PrecautionsWe have implemented many safety protocols in our daily operations that include limiting the numbers of customer interactions, providing plastic guards, masks, gloves, cleaning supplies and sanitizers.We are looking to hire applicants who enjoy working in a challenging environment to perform security functions at our self-storage facilities.Reports to: Security Guard SupervisorResponsibilities: The Security Guard will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the employees and customers, protecting property and company assets, by patrolling and monitoring premises and responding to emergencies as needed.We are seeking confident, experienced, full-time candidates who are skilled in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques and work independently. The candidates must be able to work nights and have their own vehicle for travel.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

• After hour night patrols of facility perimeter, buildings, and premises
• Static patrol of gate; noting the entry and exit of visitors after hours
• Monitoring the video surveillance system, reviewing footage, copying file as needed
• Assisting the police with investigations
• First level responder to alarm calls for burglary and fire trouble/supervisory/alarm calls or when customer is trapped inside gate after hours
• Travel between properties as required
• Keeping detailed, daily logs of activities and any issues addressed
• Alerting authorities if needed for emergencies or security breaches
• Addressing any infractions of building rules and/or forwarding them to the appropriate level of management
• Inspecting, testing, and maintaining our security systems, as well as calling for maintenance as needed
• Completing monthly preventative maintenance reports
• Monthly lighting audits
• Lock checks where scheduled
• Static gate/guard service as needed (gate repairs)
• Fire watch as needed
• Travel is required to Guelph, Brantford and Kitchener (Car Allowance Paid)

Qualifications: Valid driver's license required and reliable vehicle Required to travel to multiple locations across the GTA and South Western Ontario Valid Security guard license Satisfactory background check Must be able to work night shiftsCompensation

• Car Allowance $900/month

• Cell phone allowance $75/month
