What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.
As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.
Schedule- Mon-Fri 00:00-08:00 hours
Location- L9G 3K9

Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard
Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems to detect suspicious activity, vulnerabilities, or system malfunctions
Control access to the facility, including strict access control for employees, visitors, and trucks
Conduct truck access control and inspections at the gate
Perform regular interior and exterior (perimeter) foot patrols to ensure site safety
Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, or potential threats and escalate when required
Document all incidents and observations through detailed reports and online reporting systems
Perform desk duties, including computer use and security documentation
Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during serious incidents or emergencies
Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• First aid certification required
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
