Job Description

Commissionaires BC is currently hiring 3 seasonal Security Guard positions to work at city parks and beaches in Kelowna.

Shifts available: April 15th to October 15th, 2023.

Friday and Saturday 10pm till 6am (Casual)

Sunday to Thursday 10pm till 6am (Full Time)

Friday and Sunday 9.30pm till 5.30am (Part Time)

Your Must-Haves:

• You hold a valid BC security license
• Class 5 Drivers Licence
• 1-2 years working in security
• You have excellent verbal and written English communication skills

Your nice to haves:

• Non Violent Crisis Intervention training
• OFA Level 1
• De-escalation skills
• Ability to work more than one site.
• Experience using Tracktik software

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Continuous foot patrols of city parks and beaches in Kelowna
• Maintaining a safe environment for residents, business owners and those visiting Kelowna
• Handling any crisis situations in a calm and controlled manner
• Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts
• Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor
