Position: Casual/PT Security Guard

Responsibilities

Protect OFRA's property, residents and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment Randomly patrol buildings and perimeter Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances, and reporting of illegal activities to OFRA management and the City Police as appropriate Monitor parking areas to ensure authorized use of assigned parking spaces Warn persons of rile infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises where necessary Conduct monthly random fire alarm drills Restricting access to individuals known to be trespassing or unwelcome to the property Maintain up to date and accurate records. report in detail any suspicious incidents Monitor alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment Provide emergency assistance when required, and escalating care to medical professionals and EMT's as appropriate Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed

Qualifications/ Key Competencies

Valid Security Guard License Current and valid CRP and First Aid Certifications Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols Surveillance skills and detail orientation
