Located in Nisku, Alberta, OPENLANE Edmonton is one of ADESA Canada\'s 14 wholesale vehicle auctions that are located across Canada, and the employer of choice in the Canadian automotive remarketing industry.

OPENLANE Edmonton is looking for a full-time Security Guard. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Security Guard is responsible for securing all gates, checking all incoming and outgoing vehicles for proper authority to enter or exit. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for site security by maintaining auction perimeter as well as proper authorized clearance for personnel and customers, transport and supply companies and by ensuring all site policies and procedures are adhered to.

Inspect the fence line for indications of unauthorized entry or potential security risks.

Provide customer service by assisting dealers in finding and/or shipping vehicles as well as assisting customers with general inquiries.

Ensures all vehicles are traceable by documentation.

Maintain a good flow of communication with other auction personnel.

Required to check in/out vehicles with an electronic handheld device

Other duties as assigned

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience working as a Security officer is an asset

Excellent customer service and communication skills; bilingualism is an asset

Good computer skills

Proven ability to work as team player

Must be a dedicated and hardworking individual with a background in good standing

Ability to work in different weather conditions

Must be able to work shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends

Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license required

Valid Alberta Security license required
