We are looking for an In-House Security Officer for our Mississauga site.


PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:


Security Agents ensure the security of the site and merchandise of the event. They are the first to intervene when there is a problem or agitation.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Access Control :

• 
  
  Welcome customers
• 
  
  Respond to information requests from the public
• 
  
  Control access to the event site and restricted areas
• 
  
  Ensure the fluidity of the pedestrian and car routes

Prevention :

• 
  
  Making periodic rounds on foot across the event site
• 
  
  Discouraging inappropriate behaviour
• 
  
  Ensure compliance with Covid-19 measures

Security and Surveillance :

• 
  
  Monitor the event space
• 
  
  Ensuring compliance with the security procedures
• 
  
  Maintaining order and preventing undue agitation, offences or theft of property
• 
  
  Expelling intruders and loiterers
• 
  
  Write event report or daily reports
• 
  
  Respond to emergency calls

PREREQUISITES:

• 
  
  Customer service experience
• 
  
  First Responder Certification (CPR)
• 
  
  Security Guard license issued by the Government of Ontario
• 
  
  Organizational skills and priority management
• 
  
  Team spirit
• 
  
  Ability to work in a variable environment (outdoors, rain, winter)
• 
  
  Must be able to work with a variable schedule, day, evening and weekends
