Barber Collins security is looking for a full time Security Guard to work days and evening shifts in Waterloo, ON.

Those who have access to their own vehicle will be preferred.

Shifts

:

Week 1 (44 hours):

Monday from 4 pm to 12 am Tuesday from 4 pm to 12 am Wednesday from 4 pm to 12 am Thursday from 4 pm to 12 am Saturday from 8 am to 8 pm
Week 2 (36 hours):

Sunday from 8 am to 8 pm Wednesday from 4 pm to 12 am Thursday from 4 pm to 12 am Friday from 4 pm to 12 am

Responsibilities:

Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment. Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences. Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates. Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment. Access control for the facility/area. Ensuring that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies. Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

Skills:

Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position. Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field. Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment. Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols. Surveillance skills and detail orientation. Integrity and professionalism. Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones. Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

Pay: $19.50 per hour
