Professional Security Guard

in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Job Title: Security Guard

Job Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Job Type: Full Time - Temporary

Pay Rate: $16.30 - $17.00 per hour

Shifts:

Friday to Tuesday (0700 - 1500)


Thursday to Monday (1100 - 1900)

Allied Universal is seeking experienced Security guard to oversee security operations at our Canadian site in Winnipeg at the Downtown location (please note there will be no free parking).

Requirement

Must have prior security experience in a team environment, and open availability. Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring. Experience with report writing and note-taking. Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems. Valid

security guard license.

Must be eligible to work in Canada over 40

hours per week.

First Aid and CPR Must be at least 25+ years old. High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience Must have Driver's license. Must be comfortable with walking for long periods of time Must be comfortable with working in outdside elements.

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions

Access control for the facility/area Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times Ensure that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills Operate/monitor security room equipment, Completion of site required training
