Hours:

Continental Rotating (0800-2000/2000-0800 hrs)

Payrate:

$19.19/hr. - $21.59/hr. (based on levelling system)

Position 2 x

Temporary Security Guard - Way Finding (6 Months)

Hours:

Continental Rotating (0800-2000/2000-0800 hrs)

Payrate:

$19.19/hr.

Averaging Agreement:

Overtime is Averaging Agreement after 88 Hours

Key responsibilities:

Patrol Hospital Grounds:

Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site.

Monitor Surveillance Systems:

Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.

Access Control:

Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.

Respond to Emergencies:

Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist hospital staff as needed during crises and evacuations.

Provide Customer Service:

Greet and assist visitors, patients, and hospital staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to hospital policies and procedures.

Conflict Resolution:

De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally.

Report Writing:

Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately. Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns.

Collaboration with Hospital Staff:

Work closely with hospital staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved.

Enforce Hospital Policies:

Ensure that hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, are followed. Address any violations in a manner that upholds hospital safety standards

Requirements:

A Valid Ontario Security Guard License Proficient in English (both oral and written) Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, covid-19, TB skin tests 1 and 2) Degree in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services is an asset Experience working in healthcare security at least for one year Authorized to legally work in Canada Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
