Description

Barber Collins security is looking for a full time Security Guard to work during the week at a clients facility in Cambridge, ON.

Must have access to your own personal vehicle.

Shifts

:

Monday to Thursday from 2 pm to 11 pm

Fridays are 2 pm to 10 pm

44 hours per week Monday to Friday Afternoons May be requested to work additional coverage

Responsibilities:

Responisble for logging in trucks and directing them to the area necessary. Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment. Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences. Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates. Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment. Access control for the facility/area. Ensuring that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies. Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

Skills:

Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position. Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field. Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment. Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols. Surveillance skills and detail orientation. Integrity and professionalism. Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones. Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

Pay: $19.50 per hour
