Job Description

The Security Guard will have the dual accountability to patrol premise to ensure facility security (intrusion, unauthorized access, suspicious occurrences and first aid response) and support the diversion/monitoring of product and cannabis activity security related issues within the production departments. Location: Pickering, ON Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00PM - 11:00PM, flexibilty to cover other shifts periodically Job Duties:

• Reporting to Head of Security
• Responsible for responding to all security and first aid events
• Respond to Facility alarms, investigate and record disturbances
• Identify theft/diversion and take the appropriate action required by law and company policy
• Assists in QA monitoring in all areas of manufacturing processes and communicates results to respective area
• Work within a team environment for potential conflict management situations
• Communication with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Must be able to effectively follow and give direction
• Monitor and identify all incoming and outgoing employees and visitors to the site.
• Monitor and enforce covid protocols and contact tracing
• Participate in training seminars in all operations areas Qualifications And Education

Qualifications:

• Must have Basic Security Training License/ valid Security Worker\xe2\x80\x99s License along with a valid Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level II and CPR certification
• Proven ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Applications and a working knowledge of security management systems and applicable operational programs, including access controls, intrusion systems, and video surveillance systems would be an asset.
• Highly effective teamwork skills in conjunction with strong conflict management skills
• Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Must be able to effectively follow and give direction
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Flexibility at times, to work days, Saturdays, holidays based on operational coverage
