What does a Security Guard in Toronto do?
- Deter, detect, respond and manage unwanted activity
- Conduct security related duties including patrols, emergency response, access control, alarm response, building evacuations and investigations
- Work alone or as part of a team
- Write detailed incident reports
- Attend and investigate incidents and calls for service in a timely and professional manner
- De-escalate situations and provide support to emergency responders
- Report unsafe working conditions
- Provide first aid and medical support as needed
- Work with the site team to identify and mitigate risks, communicate in a timely fashion, complete assigned tasks and client requests as needed
- Work with the management team to enhance the program as circumstances arise and change
A valid Ontario security guard license
WSIB approved first aid certificate
Minimum 1 year of experience as a security guard
Available to work weekend overnight shifts
Excellent verbal and written communication
Comfortable standing and walking for long hours
Be eligible to work in Canada
