Pay Rate: $16.38 \xe2\x80\x93 17.05/hr.

Position Overview:

Assignments include:

  • Implement security measures to protect property, control access to sites, patrol assigned areas to monitor activities and ensure client rules and regulations are followed.
  • Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed and maintain written reports.
  • Direct visitors to appropriate areas, perform security checks, and liaise with visitors, customers and the public.
  • Maintaining a positive, productive work environment through collaboration.
Hours of work will be Afternoon & Night shift rotation including weekends and holidays as follows:

Preferred skills/qualifications:
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard licence (required)
  • Valid First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Experience in a Truck Gate/Warehouse environment
  • Microsoft Office experience
Essential Job Functions:
  • Be courteous and cooperative with a high quality of customer service.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Able to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
  • Write clear, concise, and legible reports.
  • Communicates any concerns/issues with Operations Manager.
  • In this role, it is essential that you maintain integrity, clear written and oral communication skills, basic computer knowledge and maintain a high standard of customer service.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act.
  • Able to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service along with good computer abilities are all core requirements.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write clear, concise, and legible reports.
  • Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy.
  • Patrol assigned area on foot, as assigned, to ensure personal, building, and equipment security.
  • Watch for and report irregularities by completing investigations and incident reports, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contact emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, as required.
  • Sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and provide specialized security services by enforcing rules and regulations when required.
  • Offer support to any person in need such as providing good customer service when providing a security presence, such as providing direction, responding to emergency situation involving violent individuals and injuries.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

At the time of the interview applicant must be able to produce proof of completion of the following prerequisites: * A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Proficient in English (both oral and written)
Successful completion of the following requirements provided by Paladin are mandatory prior to placement: * First Aid & CPR \xe2\x80\x93 Level C
  • Management of Aggressive Behavior

  • Report Writing
  • Additional courses as assigned

Certification Requirements (All)

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
