Are you a professional Security officer wanting to transition to law enforcement?

Our team is responsible for public safety in The City Of Lougheed. This property spans 6 urban blocks on the border of Burnaby & Coquitlam. We are located right beside Lougheed Town Center and are very transit accessible. Our team is looking for a recruit with at least one year in the industry. This gives us a baseline of your skills in patrol safety, access control principles, emergency response, and report writing. Applicants must have intermediate first aid (OFA-2), a driver\'s license (BC class-5), advanced security training (AST), and excellent verbal and written English language proficiency.

Position Requirements

All applicants lacking the requisite experience & certifications will be dropped from the application process

• Valid British Columbia Basic Security Training
• Valid Advanced Security Training (Application of Restraints)
• Valid OFA Level 2
• Must be familiar with handling vagrants and intoxicated persons
• Must be confident in verbal conflict de-escalation
• Proficient in the English language (verbal & written)
• Able to complete high-quality reports
• Top-notch customer service, with previous experience, considered a strong asset
• Professional approach to role; acting in a disciplined, honest and ethical manner
• Able to patrol and stand for long periods of time
• Comfortable working alone or with a diverse team
• Must be able to follow procedures and set routines effectively
• Strong observation and communication skills
• Flexible availability
• Must be ready to meet new people and have a great time at work

British Columbia Security License
OFA 2 Certification
