Security Guard 2i/c ($25.50)

Sun to Thurs: 1600 2359

Must have valid Class 5 BC Driver\'s License.

Your Must-Haves:

• One year or more in security and in a supervisory role
• Hold a valid BC Security License
• Hold a valid Class 5 BC Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
• Have a clean driver\xe2\x80\x99s abstract
• Fluent English; excellent written and verbal skills
• Positive attitude with professional demeanor and strong interpersonal/customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail to fulfill job duties and incident report writing
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations

In accordance with the values of the Commissionaires BC and under the supervision of the Client Services Manager and Site Supervisor, the 2 i/c Security Guard position is a working team lead position where you are assigned to a permanant site and are responsible for leading assigned staff on shift. You may be required to be on-call and after business hours, as required.

Job Duties:

• Continuous foot patrols of downtown Kelowna
• Maintaining a safe environment for residents, business owners and those visiting Kelowna
• Handling any crisis situations in a calm and controlled manner
• Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts
• Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor
