About The Role: The Security Engineer assists the Information Security team with complex security problems, and works to implement, manage, and maintain critical security controls. The role requires continuously improving technical competence of a suite of security technology products including but not limited to access management, endpoint protection, firewalls, IDS/IDP, WAF, file-integrity monitoring, data loss protection, and e-mail protection. Additionally, the role requires some experience with vulnerability analysis and reporting, system administration and hardening.
Responsibilities:

  • Work to implement and maintain security solutions including all security controls and countermeasures.
  • Report on and maintain a strong security posture.
  • Assist with enhancing and assuring our security baselines and information security standards.
  • Routinely assist with solving complex security problems, or requirements.
  • Assist in vulnerability analysis and reporting following our internal/external security testing engagements.
  • Perform access management including user setup, termination, troubleshooting, and access rights reviews in O365 and other SaaS solutions utilizing IDaaS technologies
  • Continuously improve processes involving repetitive tasks and drive efficiencies so analysts can work on more advanced tasks.
  • Interact with employees through the Security Engineering service desk and respond to security problems.
  • Contribute to and maintain the vulnerability database.
  • User access validations
  • Maintain and report on critical security controls and countermeasures.
  • Support the SOC with system uptime and maintenance of security controls.

Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma in IT or Computer Science.
  • 3-5 years of experience in information security or related experience.
  • Experience with system administrations and some of the security technologies expressed above.
  • Experienced working in a team environment, with strong collaboration drive and urge to learn.
  • Effective communicator with ability to influence business units.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Highly organized and efficient.
  • Leverages strategic and tactical thinking.
  • Works calmly under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrates effective decision-making skills.
  • Is highly trustworthy, ethical, and responsible; leads by example.
