DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor security systems and respond to alarms and incidents
Dispatch security personnel and emergency first responders to alarms and incidents
Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
Maintain accurate records and reports of all security incidents and responses
Dispatch mobile courier units to handle and pick up Client's documents and parcels
Monitor and respond to all radio communications
Monitoring all CCTV, access control, alarm stations and sites
Superior knowledge of phonetic alphabet, site and 10 codes
Maintain a discreet and professional demeanor towards Clients, colleagues, and Vendors
Answering and monitoring all phone lines - responding and managing all Client and guard/staff requests
Conduct regular site and safety checks
Assist with administrative tasks and duties as required or assigned by Operations or Duty Mgr
Monitor and immediately respond to Client and public issues, making sure service standards and requirements are met at all times
Extensive knowledge of company safety policies and procedures and advise accordingly
Process and transmit sensitive information and instruction over the radio or phone to appropriate personnel
Excellent knowledge of major city (Edm - Cal - Van - Reg - Win) streets and neighborhoods
General knowledge of road and weather conditions, and access/interpretation of info lines and applications
Conduct regular and random audits of systems, fleet vehicles, deportment and inventory lists
QUALIFICATIONS
Be eligible to work in Canada
Have minimum high school diploma or equivalent
MUST be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently (min. level IV competency)
Available flexible work schedule, primarily nights and 24/7 on weekends
Must have a valid and current Class Five (5) Alberta Driver's License
Must have or obtain min. level C First Aid - AED - CPR within 3 months
Must have or obtain a Vulnerable Persons and RCMP security check
Have minimum one (1) to two (2) years experience as a Dispatcher (preferably security or monitoring)
Have minimum two (2) to three (3) years experience in the Security, monitoring or alarms industry or field
Have minimum one (1) to two (2) year experience in a customer service role
Certification/Degree/Diploma in Dispatcher program a asset
Experience using and monitoring CCTV a definite asset
Experience using reporting software and security applications a definite asset
Experience and knowledge of and working with OH&S and Safety programs
Have a current and valid Alberta security license, OR the ability to obtain one within ninety (90) days
Recent and relevant experience handling and working in emergency, stressful situations
Superior ability to multi-task, critical thinker, work independently, and problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal, professional and communication skills
Outstanding organizational, time management, and customer service skills
