Chubb is currently recruiting for the following position in Halifax Nova Scotia

Apprentice/Junior Technician - Security

This is for the Halifax and surroundingregions on a contract basis with the possibility of an extension or move to permanentstatus. The main duties of this job opportunity are to assist Technicians with renovation/installation/service/inspections.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Apprentice Technician - Security

Assist technician(s) with installing alarm and CCTV equipment. Help with test commissioning of projects. Assist Technician(s) in clean up and training of end-users. Assist with ULC inspections and servicing of systems. The ideal candidate should be working towards completing basics of electronics/electricity courses or equivalent industry knowledge.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Technical Aptitude. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be available for all hours of work including overtime. Must have a desire to pursue a career in or have a general interest in Security Alarm Technician work. Must have a valid Provincial Driver's License. Must have a means of transportation to get to and from work and/or to customer job site.

General knowledge of Electronics and general use of hand tools. General computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent problem-solving skills. Highly organized and able to work under pressure. Adaptable to changing environments. Self-motivator with a positive outlook. Strong interpersonal skills and effective at building relationships - with a strong client service orientation. Ability to occasionally lift/carry heavy loads.
